angel to handle their opposition. He stated He wouldn't drive them out
in one year. He would get rid of them 'little by little.' There were
three reasons the Lord gave me for taking this approach. I believe
these principles will help you out. To begin, the Lord wouldn't
dismantle Israel's enemies immediately because He wanted to ensure
their reliance upon Him... In addition to moving slowly to ensure
Israel's reliance, God dealt patiently with their opposition to
preserve their promise...Finally, God didn't drive the Israelites out
immediately because they weren't adequate for destiny."

DeWitt Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union University, and his
D.Min. from United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio. Dr. Brown has
served as the pastor of College and Young Adults at Bethel Baptist
Institutional Church in Jacksonville, Florida and is currently the
pastor of Providence Baptist Church in Newport News, Virginia. He and
