The success of the Academy Award winning motion picture "The Blind Side," put the real life family on which the movie is based into the national spotlight.
Now Leigh Anne and Sean Tuohy have written a book about their experiences titled, In a Heartbeat: Sharing the Power of Cheerful Giving.
The Tuohy family helped a teenager get off the streets and welcomed him into their family. The teen, Michael Oher, had been left to fend for himself by his drug-addicted mother.
Leigh Anne recalled that she could see Michael needed somebody. It broke her heart, so they made him one of their own.
