There are many people who know and love Jeremiah Wright. And due to the last presidential race, there are some people who don't like Jeremiah Wright. Whatever one may think of him, he has to be given some credit because he is the first Black pastor of a historically Black church who has produced a president of the United States. He also kindly warned America that "Barack Obama is a politician," and that he "ain't Jesus".

Christian-themed film "To Save a Life" has taken on a life of its own, earning $3 million on just 441 screens nationwide since opening January 22. The film's success is due in part to its authentic and sometimes raw portrayal of teenage life, according to actor Joshua Weigel, who plays Youth Pastor Chris Vaughn in the film. Weigel, an award-winning director in his own right, credits co-producers New Song Pictures and Outreach, Inc., for raising the bar in an industry that typically avoids depicting immorality in any form.

"God did not create you to fail," says Thomas M. Coletta Christian author and speaker in his new book, "Simple Truths." Packed with straightforward advice to help people find happiness, success, and discover their true life purpose, Coletta shines a beacon of light for those who are struggling with self-esteem, their career, unemployment, drug or alcohol abuse, lifestyle or who need help for their relationship.

Simple Truths is a collection of vignettes that explores problems and presents solutions. Based on an unshakable faith in the Word of God, Coletta uses simple language to convey a simple message. However, the result is a book that does what few self-help books truly can: it helps readers assess their own issues and find their own solutions. LesBrownJoelFreemanBlackHistory.jpgThe Freeman Institute Black History Collection and Dr. Joel A. Freeman collaborate to speak at Black History events, to establish potential Black History galleries, to do media interviews, and to share a lot of educational good will.

"When studying Black History, both Afrocentrism and Eurocentrism provide excellent documentation to support their respective views. But the more one researches, the more one realizes that both disciplines also have some pretty crazy/fringe stuff that isn't corroborated by original sources. I'd rather use the term: Truthcentric, hopefully providing more light than heat," states Dr. Joel A. Freeman. He is the author of, "A White Man's Journey Into Black History." and co-creator (with Don Griffin) of the award-winning film, Return To Glory: The Powerful Stirring of the Black Man.
